FootageFlag Support

Start here. Most issues take only a minute to fix.

Quick fixes

Try these first.

01

A saved time does not match the recorder

  1. Open FootageFlag Settings and confirm the NAS time zone matches the time zone configured on your recorder.
  2. Open the bookmark and compare its saved time zone and retrieval window with the recorder.
  3. Edit the bookmark if the event time was entered later from memory; changing the app's default time zone does not move existing bookmarks.
02

A review reminder did not appear

  1. Open the bookmark and confirm its reminder is scheduled for a future time.
  2. In iPhone Settings, open Notifications, then FootageFlag, and allow the alerts you want.
  3. Review Focus modes and Scheduled Summary if the local notification is delayed or hidden.
03

Create or restore a backup

  1. Open FootageFlag Settings, then Data, and create a backup before making major changes.
  2. Save the exported file to a location you trust; it can contain camera labels, timestamps, and private notes.
  3. To restore, choose the import option, inspect the preview, and confirm the merge only after the counts look correct.

Common questions

Quick answers.

Does FootageFlag connect to my cameras or NAS?

No. FootageFlag stores only the camera labels, timestamps, notes, and review details you enter. It does not discover cameras, open a recorder, download footage, or store video.

Does FootageFlag require an account or internet connection?

No. Core features work offline, and MN Booth LLC does not operate a FootageFlag account or backend.

Can support recover a deleted bookmark?

No. MN Booth LLC does not receive a server copy of your bookmarks. Recovery is possible only from a backup or device backup you control.

Does App Lock encrypt my FootageFlag database?

No. App Lock asks iOS to authenticate access to the interface. It does not separately encrypt the local database or exported backup files.

What should I include when I ask for help?

Include the FootageFlag version, iOS version, iPhone model, what you expected, and the shortest steps that reproduce the problem. Never send camera footage, addresses, access credentials, or sensitive notes.

Keep private information out of your message. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, full exports, private notes, client details, or sensitive photos. Apple handles payment credentials, purchase records, and refunds.
